Do YOU ever have this feeling?
Several minutes after we met I was conscious of being below par.
“Oh damn,” I thought. “I am going to be boring and there’s no reason and no way to stop it. My affect is boring. I will probably not say a single interesting thing this whole night. The best I can do is lose myself in listening and hope that no one notices.”
